Microgreens are tiny edible greens, or as may some call “seedlings” that grow usually from vegetables or herbs seeds.
Depending on the crop, microgreens are harvested within 7-14 days when the first true leaves start to emerge from the cotyledons.
As a general rule of thumb, most microgreens are 3-7 cm of length, which puts theme somewhere in the middle between their youngsters (Sprouts) & elders (Baby leaves).
Famously known as the “small but mighty” amongst chefs & nutrients, microgreens tend to pack loads of dense nutrients & concentrated flavors.
Also… our microgreens at Graudupes are seldomly frozen or preserved, they grow indoors in a controlled & hygienic environment, & if kept well they can stay fresh for up to 2 weeks!
